Academics

The Open Architecture Network is the brainchild of Architecture for Humanity and the designers who volunteer with us and through our local chapters. It grew out of our collective frustration in sharing ideas and trying to work together to address shelter needs after disaster, in informal settlements and in our own communities. The Open Architecture Network is an online, open source community dedicated to improving living conditions through innovative and sustainable design.

The European Research Centre on Migration and Ethnic Relations (ERCOMER) exists to actively encourage, support and promote comparative research in the fields of international migration and ethnic relations within the European context. The centre is situated within the Faculty of Social Sciences, Utrecht University, the Netherlands.

The Expanding Your Horizons Network licenses and coordinates this network of EYH conferences. It initiates local sites and provides them with technical assistance and conference and planning materials. The office also provides support services such as coordinated publicity, public relations posters and buttons are also provided. The Math/ScienceNetwork also facilitates networking between other conference sites.      The Network is a non-profit membership organization of educators, scientists, mathematicians, parents, community leaders, and government and corporate representative.
Our mission is to encourage young women to pursue science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers. Through Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) Network programs, we provide STEM role models and hands-on activities for middle and high school girls. Our ultimate goal is to motivate girls to become innovative and creative thinkers ready to meet 21st Century challenges.
